At approximately 10 feet tall, it turns an intimate gesture into something visible across the plaza.

What does Resonance mean?

ÆRENA Galleries & Gardens describes the work in terms of the shared energy between two people: the feeling of being in harmony with another person. In that interpretation, the space between the figures matters as much as the bronze itself.

Looking at the sculpture, you can follow that idea through the hands, the tilt of the heads and the opening between the bodies. Their connection is visible without a detailed facial expression. The figures remain distinct, while the gesture joins them.

That is a useful starting point for looking, rather than a requirement to feel one particular emotion. You might read affection, reassurance, companionship or stillness into the encounter.
