Lake Cahuilla Park

Located deep South in La Quinta, California, is a scenic reservoir at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains. A private park with amenities, offering daily or yearly admission and onsite camping.

A 710-acre park and a 135-acre lake. 

RV: 62 - full hookups, 10 - water only. 

Dry Camping: 35 - Individual Sites.

20 Equestrian campsites & Horse corrals.

Stocked with fish, including trout, catfish, and bass. A fishing license is required. Bait is available onsite.

2.5 Mile Walking Path: It goes around The Lake.

Warning - On The North Side Of The Lake: It's not the easiest trail to walk on. For half the way (on the North side) because its rocky with dirt steps/layers down to the lake which make walking difficult. it is very close vibes to hiking a easy trail, which is harder than a concrete/dirt walking path, etc.

Swimming in the lake is not allowed. There is a pool that is open during the summer months only.

🐦 Birds Seen: Pied-billed Grebe, Western Grebe, Black Phebe, Vermillion Flycatcher, Great Blue Heron, American White Pelican, Green Heron, Double Crested Cormorant.
