A few useful answers

Before you make plans.

Use the guides for context and photography. Go to the venue or city for current access, reservations and official information.

Are Palm Desert and Palm Springs the same city?

They are separate cities in the Coachella Valley. Palm Desert sits farther east and has its own downtown shopping district, civic center, neighborhoods and foothill access. Use the map and current travel estimates to group your plans by location.

Where is a good place to start exploring?

El Paseo is a useful starting point for shopping, dining and galleries. Civic Center Park offers a different view of local life, while The Living Desert and nearby trails focus on the desert landscape. Choose a starting point that matches your interests.

Are all these places inside Palm Desert’s city limits?

The guide includes Palm Desert and nearby places commonly associated with the area. Acrisure Arena, Sun City Palm Desert and other destinations may use Palm Desert-area names or mailing addresses without sharing the same municipal boundaries. Use the exact destination when planning a trip, and verify jurisdiction for property-specific questions.

Can I visit the country clubs, courts and community amenities?

Access varies. Public parks, reserved golf, membership-based courts and private residential amenities have different rules. Owning or renting a home does not automatically provide every club privilege. Confirm visitor access with the operator and arrange authorized property tours.

How should I prepare for a hike or a new attraction?

Check official notices, weather and trail restrictions before hiking; exposed desert routes can be demanding. For a developing attraction such as DSRT SURF, confirm actual public reservations with the operator. Construction progress, photographs or testing do not establish visitor access.
