A clearer way to find your place

A home search often starts with bedrooms, square footage, and price. Those details matter. But so does the life outside the front door: how you spend your mornings, whether you’ll use the clubhouse, how far you want to drive, and what it really costs to own the home.

That is where I put much of my attention. My goal is to help you understand your choices well enough to make a decision that feels right for you.

1. Start with your everyday life.

   We talk about your budget, timing, interests, and what you want from the move. We compare communities before narrowing the search to individual homes.

2. Look closely at the differences.

   I help you weigh floor plans, location, amenities, HOA and membership costs, and the questions worth resolving before making an offer. My guides, photographs, videos, and market research give you a useful starting point.

3. Move forward with a plan.

   When you’re ready, we organize tours, evaluate the homes, and work through the offer, inspections, negotiations, and closing. You have someone to call as the decisions become more specific.

Selling a home? I bring that same attention to understanding what makes your property distinctive, presenting it through photography and video, and developing a pricing and marketing plan around the buyers it is most likely to serve.

The communities I know and explore

My real estate focus is 55+ living throughout the Coachella Valley. I spend time inside the communities, exploring their amenities and home designs, and learning how their locations and atmosphere differ. A comparison becomes much more useful when it goes beyond a list of features.

La Quinta and Palm Desert are also places where I have spent a great deal of time living, working, and creating resources. My work continues to take me into more communities across the valley.

A growing perspective across all nine cities

Through Desert Oasis Insider, I’ve developed a deep perspective on much of the Coachella Valley. Its nine cities each have their own character, housing choices, and surroundings. As I continue photographing, researching, and building this website, that local knowledge is growing rapidly.

That work strengthens the perspective I bring to a home search or sale. I am prepared to represent buyers and sellers in any of the valley’s nine cities: Desert Hot Springs, Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Indio, and Coachella. My specialty is 55+ communities, and my service area spans the entire valley.

I also follow Cotino in Rancho Mirage closely, documenting its homes, floor plans, and development. It is one part of my broader community coverage. I help buyers and sellers throughout the Coachella Valley, including those whose plans take them beyond a 55+ neighborhood.

The story behind the work

Learning to build

I was 23 and working construction in Huntington Beach when I earned my real estate license. I was drawn to the responsibility of building something of my own: serving people well, improving my skills, and creating work that could become more valuable over time.

I moved to the Coachella Valley and joined John K. Miller Group. Over the next eleven years, I learned sales, customer service, preparation, and negotiation while building websites, studying digital marketing, and photographing homes and communities.

Those experiences began to reinforce one another. Research made me more observant. Photography made me pay closer attention. Working with buyers and sellers taught me which details mattered when someone had a real decision to make.

Learning to see

At first, the camera was a practical tool for real estate. Over time, it changed the way I experienced the desert. I became interested in the birds, the mountains, the history, the light, and the questions I had walked past without noticing.

Bird photography helped me understand that connection. To make a meaningful image, I need to study the species, its behavior, the season, and the landscape. The photograph carries the attention that came before it. That same habit of looking closely shapes the way I research a community or present a home.

Choosing my own direction

Eventually, I wanted to bring real estate, photography, film, research, and technology together under a direction I could own. Leaving the family business was a difficult decision, and I remain grateful for the education and relationships those years gave me.

That professional change coincided with major changes in my personal life. It asked me to become more independent, more reflective, and more responsible for the life I wanted to build. The lesson I carry forward is to keep improving my character as well as my capabilities.

Building Desert Oasis Insider and Bloom

Desert Oasis Insider is my independent publication and visual guide to the Coachella Valley. It is where I follow a question into a community, a trail, a piece of history, or the natural world, and share what I learn through writing, photography, and film.

Bloom connects that local understanding with home search. My aim is to help people explore the places they are considering, then see the homes available within them.

The guides and tools are useful on their own. When someone needs help with a move, my real estate work brings the research into a personal conversation about their goals.

The essence of life is growth

Growth has always been the thread connecting my interests. I study people such as Socrates, Leonardo da Vinci, and Steve Jobs because they remind me to question assumptions, practice my craft, and take responsibility for what I create.

I want to become a better photographer, filmmaker, real estate professional, and human being. Those ambitions require patience, discipline, and a willingness to recognize where I still need to improve.

My hope is that the work helps someone make a better decision, notice something beautiful, or become more curious about the place they call home. That is a reason to keep building.
