Visit Cotino Model Homes

Model-home visits · Rancho Mirage, California

Know where to go, what happens inside, and which homes you want to see.

A Cotino visit starts with more than a model home. From the Sales Studio welcome to the community’s scale model and your first walkthrough, here is how I help you make the most of the experience.

The first turn

Finding the Sales Studio is simple.

Put the Sales Studio address in your navigation. The model-home visit begins here, with visitor parking beside the building.

Turn in from Gerald Ford Drive.

As you enter on Danube Drive, follow the signs for the Cotino Sales Studio.

Keep right for the Sales Studio.

On my recent visits, the visitor branch stays to the right before the residential guard lanes. You can reach the Sales Studio parking without checking in at the residential guardhouse.

Park and walk inside.

Use the marked visitor spaces beside the studio. If I am joining you, we will confirm where to meet before you arrive.

Arrival guidance reflects Mark’s firsthand visits and the photographed entrance. Follow current signs and staff directions if circulation changes.

A hosted visit, step by step

More than opening a model-home door.

“The experience feels distinctly Disney to me: thoughtful hospitality, a polished presentation and a story that helps the community come together.” — Mark Miller

01 / THE WELCOME

Meet the sales team.

On my visits, Disney Sales Cast Members have created a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. You will typically check in on an iPad and complete the visitor information and forms required for your appointment.

02 / THE PRESENTATION

Settle in for the story.

A hosted introduction can begin in the theater with a cinematic presentation about Cotino. The production and storytelling make the community easier to picture before you start comparing homes.

03 / THE VISION BOARD

See how it all fits together.

On the visits I have attended, the doors open into the room with the physical community model. This is where the lagoon, neighborhoods, parks, club and public waterfront become a more tangible place.

04 / YOUR PRIORITIES

Talk about your next home.

We will discuss your budget, the rooms you need, how you spend your time and the kinds of homesites that interest you. That helps shape a useful tour instead of an overwhelming list of houses.

05 / TO THE MODELS

Drive over with your sales guide.

You can typically take your own car and follow the sales professional to the model-home area, as directed for your appointment. Confirm the meeting and driving arrangements before leaving the studio.

06 / WALK & COMPARE

Find the layouts that work for you.

Walk through a selection of homes and compare room flow, outdoor living, bedroom separation, storage and scale. We can ask which options are available and what is included in the home you are considering.

Inside the Sales Studio

The Cotino Vision Board

This detailed physical model is one of my favorite parts of the introduction. It gives you a shared reference point for understanding how the homes, Cotino Bay, Artisan Club and future public areas relate to one another.

Use it to ask questions about location and surroundings before you step into an individual floor plan.

How much can a floor plan change?

Flexibility depends on the builder, plan, homesite and construction stage. We will compare the base layout with the available options, discuss how changes affect the price, and separate model-home upgrades from the features included in your quote.

A few practical details

Bring a government-issued photo ID, comfortable shoes and your questions. Cotino currently lists self-guided model visits from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, with special-event changes possible. Service animals are permitted; pets are not allowed during sales visits. Confirm your hosted appointment time with Mark.

Before you go

A few common questions.

Where do I go for a Cotino model-home visit?

Start at the Cotino Sales Studio, 10 Danube Drive, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270. Enter from Gerald Ford Drive and follow the Sales Studio signs. On Mark’s recent visits, the visitor route branches right before the residential guard lanes. Follow the posted signs and any staff directions on the day.

Do I need an appointment to see the Cotino models?

Cotino currently advertises self-guided model visits from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, with hours subject to special events. A scheduled sales appointment is the better fit for the hosted introduction described here. Contact Mark before your visit to coordinate the time, meeting place and models you want to see.

Do all 41 floor plans have a furnished model I can tour?

No. This page lists 41 floor-plan profiles in the Desert Oasis Insider library. The furnished models open for a particular visit are a smaller selection. Cotino’s current visit page advertises nine models for self-guided visits; a scheduled appointment may include a curated selection of models and available homes. Confirm the day’s options when arranging your visit.

What happens inside the Sales Studio?

On the hosted visits Mark describes, you are welcomed by the sales team, complete visitor check-in and current forms, watch a cinematic introduction, and then explore the physical community model, known here as the Cotino Vision Board. Your sales professional discusses your priorities before you continue to the model homes. The exact order can vary.

Why contact Mark before my first visit?

Mark can meet you at the Sales Studio, coordinate an introduction to a Cotino sales professional he works with, and help you compare the homes with your budget and priorities. His role is to help you ask useful questions about layout, homesite, options and total costs while you explore. Share your timing and shortlist before the visit so the appointment can be planned around you.
