Three ways to read La Quinta.
Old Town, the Cove & mountain edge
Find Old Town’s shops and dining, then follow the Cove toward its trail access. Look at the actual streets and walking routes between the village, homes and foothills.
South La Quinta & golf communities
Explore PGA WEST and the city’s other gated and golf communities as individual destinations. Compare their entrances and the drive back to Old Town or Highway 111.

Choose a few places you want to explore, then check the route between them. The closest point on the map may be a fairway, a mountain edge or a residents-only gate.

Where is La Quinta in the Coachella Valley?
La Quinta lies in the eastern Coachella Valley at the foot of the Santa Rosa Mountains, near Indian Wells and Indio. Use Highway 111, Washington Street and the mountain edge as reference points, then zoom in on the area you want to explore.
How do I find places and use the map layers?
Open the layer menu inside the map to browse its places and categories. Select a marker to view the information attached to that location, and use the built-in zoom controls to see the surrounding streets. Photos and video are available for some locations.
Are Old Town La Quinta and La Quinta Cove the same place?
They are neighboring parts of the city with different roles. Old Town is a shopping and dining destination within the village area; the Cove is the larger residential neighborhood extending toward the mountains and trails. Explore the Old Town guide and Cove guide for a closer look.
Where should I start when looking for hiking trails?
Begin with the trailheads around the southern end of La Quinta Cove. Our La Quinta hiking guide introduces Boo Hoff, Bear Creek Oasis and Cove to Lake with photos and video. Choose a route suited to your ability and current conditions; a pin alone does not show the difficulty or time required.
Can I visit every place shown on the map?
Access varies by destination. Shops, parks, resorts and private communities can have different hours, fees or entry requirements. For a home tour, confirm the guest gate with your agent or host.
