Notice the feeling you want in the room: quiet, movement, warmth, or contrast. Bring photographs of the space and examples of art you respond to. Compare texture in person, as well as color on a screen.

Bring the room into the conversation.

For a photograph or other editioned work, request the edition size and number, production process, dimensions, and details of any accompanying documentation. Compare the exact object being offered, including its frame and condition.
03 · See the scale
Give the piece room to work.
Enter the usable wall area and the artwork’s full outside dimensions, including the frame. The preview compares their proportions with the art centered. It is a starting point for a conversation about placement.

Account for desert light and seasonal living.
