Which major Coachella Valley projects does this map cover?
Nine projects are covered: The Oasis at Indio, CV Link, Cotino, SilverRock, Coral Mountain Desert Club, Coachella Valley Rail, Del Webb Desert Retreat, University Park and DSRT SURF. Some entries link to ongoing trackers; residential entries can link to community guides with dated development updates. This is a curated reporting hub, not a complete permit inventory.
Does “approved” mean a project is under construction?
No. Approval may establish a land-use framework or a particular phase. Design review, map recordation, infrastructure, permits and construction can still remain ahead. Read the status note on each card; SilverRock’s approved framework and Coral Mountain’s documented site preparation should not be read as confirmed home or hotel construction.
Which projects can I visit now?
CV Link has open segments. Desert Retreat, University Park and Cotino offer sales or model visits under their respective arrangements; private recreation is separate. SilverRock’s public golf course and park are separate from the resort parcel. DSRT SURF describes future public access, but its September 10 booking page still says reservations are opening soon. Read the access note on each card before planning a visit.
Are the map markers exact project boundaries or future rail stations?
No. This is an illustrated regional orientation map with approximate locations. The CV Link marker represents the Palm Springs access area covered in Mark’s September 9 field visit. The rail marker and dashed corridor provide regional context, not final station locations or an approved engineering alignment. Use the linked trackers and official maps for detailed location research.
How current are the project statuses and photographs?
The hub was reviewed September 10, 2026. Every entry has its own evidence date, and photographs retain their original capture dates. Desert Retreat and University Park use earlier field photos with newly checked builder announcements. DSRT SURF currently has an official-source report without original DOI field photography. Updates are added after review; the page is not an automatic construction feed.
