When a saved page has an important update, My DOI helps you keep track through the Change Log. Saved-item email updates let the news come to you. You can turn emails off in My DOI whenever you like.
A new direction to explore
Find suggested places and stories in For You. With personalization enabled, recommendations draw on what you save and the pages you’ve viewed. Each suggestion explains its connection, and you can dismiss ones that don’t interest you.
See saved places on a map
Use your saved map to connect discoveries with their locations. It’s a useful way to spot nearby places and turn a collection of ideas into a day out. Map pins appear for saved resources with a mapped location.
Remember your discoveries
Record nature sightings, add photos and notes, and build your checklist as you explore. Your journal gives the birds, wildlife and other discoveries you encounter a place to live beyond your camera roll.

With browsing history enabled, Your History helps you revisit pages you’ve explored. And when you want a more structured outing, the trip planner gives you another way to organize places into a plan.

Is My DOI really free?
Yes. Creating and using a My DOI account is completely free.
Do I need an account to read the website?
No. You can browse Desert Oasis Insider without signing in. Sign in when you want to save items, organize your collection or use your personal My DOI features.
What emails will I receive?
Saved-item emails notify you about important updates to pages you’ve saved. They aren’t an alert for every small edit. You can turn these emails off in My DOI.
How does For You choose recommendations?
When personalization is enabled, it uses connections to saved items and remembered browsing activity, such as related places and topics. You can turn personalization off or dismiss individual suggestions. Recommendations are a starting point for exploration, not a complete list of everything on the site.
Can I use My DOI on my phone and computer?
Sign in with the same account to access your saved collection across devices. Your browser and account settings determine which browsing activity can be remembered.
