Tickets and presenters

The November 7 opener pairs the Symphony with Palm Springs Opera Guild singers. The Symphony announces ticketed admission beginning with its 2026–27 season. Do not assume an older “free concert” listing still applies. Follow its current ticket link for pricing and availability.

For the theatrical productions, Desert Theatricals’ BookTix page lists Sister Act and Man of La Mancha. Its holiday page and entertainment-series page cover additional programming. An announced date and an on-sale performance are different stages of planning.

Where to park and enter

Venue address: Rancho Mirage Amphitheater, inside Rancho Mirage Community Park, 71560 San Jacinto Drive, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270.

Open directions to the amphitheater. Use the venue name as well as the street address so your navigation does not confuse it with another Rancho Mirage performance venue.

Start with your event’s west-gate instructions

For November 7, the Symphony directs general entry through the West Gate, with complimentary valet in the west parking lot. Its notice says the East Gate is closed to general entry; attendees needing accessibility accommodations may request individual arrangements there. Those are instructions for that event, not a permanent all-show parking policy.

Desert Theatricals’ venue page lists west-gate valet, street parking and neighboring lots. It does not provide a universal list of approved businesses or promise that every nearby lot is available. Follow the event’s directions, attendants and posted signs; do not treat an empty private lot as permission to park.

A practical arrival plan

  1. Read the ticket email before leaving. Save the entry instructions and ticket offline, and check whether the gate time differs from the performance time.
  2. Allow time to get from the car to your seat. As a planning buffer, aim to reach the area about 45–60 minutes before curtain when the event permits entry. This is a suggestion, not an official required arrival time.
  3. Choose the easiest route for your party. If distance, steps or carrying gear matter, arrange access with the presenter before the day of the show.
  4. Agree on your return meeting point. Use the event-approved pickup or valet area and keep driveways, ramps and emergency access clear.

Seating: check the presenter before bringing a chair

“Outdoor concert” can suggest a blanket on a lawn, but that is not a reliable assumption here. Desert Theatricals provides chairs and describes reserved seats and tables. Its booking page says reserved tables seat four and do not include a meal. Review the seating chart for your production before choosing a section.

The Symphony’s November 7 notice instead describes first-come seating. Follow that event’s instructions. If you want to bring a personal chair, cushion or other seating aid, confirm it is allowed rather than carrying it to the gate and discovering a restriction.

The roof covers the stage, while audience terraces and approach paths extend outside it. Check the presenter’s seating chart and event instructions for your specific seat; do not assume a covered stage means covered audience seating.

What to bring—and what to check first

  • Your ticket and a charged phone. Save the confirmation and presenter contact information before traveling.
  • Layers for sitting outdoors. Choose clothing for the temperature near the end of the performance, not just when you leave home. Desert Theatricals specifically advises jackets for its outdoor shows.
  • Comfortable shoes. Think about the full route between the parking area, entrance, seating and return pickup.
  • Only permitted bags, food and drinks. Check the individual show’s rules. Both the November 7 Symphony notice and Desert Theatricals’ venue guidance prohibit outside food and beverages and list refreshments for purchase.
  • An agreed plan for children or companions. Review show suitability, runtime and intermission information with the presenter.

Check the forecast before heading out. For Desert Theatricals, the venue page describes performances as rain or shine and states specific cancellation and exchange terms. Read those terms at booking; outdoor conditions do not automatically create a refund entitlement.

Accessibility and assistance

Ask the presenter about the complete route you need: parking or drop-off, the entry gate, accessible seating, a companion seat and restroom access. “Accessible seating available” does not answer every part of that journey.

For Desert Theatricals, call 760-620-5993 about wheelchair and companion arrangements. Its Broadway page also asks for at least three weeks’ notice for Sunday-evening ASL interpretation requests; contact info@desert-theatricals.com for the specific production. For Symphony events, start with the current concert notice and arrange assistance before arrival.

Make an evening of it

Give dinner and the performance separate time in your plan. The River at Rancho Mirage is one place to investigate dining options; use the DOI restaurant guide to compare choices, then verify restaurant hours and reservations. A map’s short distance is not a guarantee of a quick parking-to-seat trip.

If you are visiting earlier in the day, explore the full park guide for the playground, courts and grounds. The Library & Observatory and Sunnylands offer other ways to explore the city, with their own opening hours, programs and reservations. Leave room between activities rather than assuming they operate on the concert’s schedule.

Where to check for changes

Use the table above as a starting point, then confirm with the organization presenting your show. The Coachella Valley Symphony and Desert Theatricals maintain separate announcements and ticket links. Our Today & This Week guide covers a wider range of valley outings.

Check again close to your event for cancellations, entry changes and newly released details. This article’s schedule is editorially maintained; it does not reserve a seat or synchronize directly with ticket inventory.

Rancho Mirage Amphitheater FAQs

Where is Rancho Mirage Amphitheater?

Inside Rancho Mirage Community Park at 71560 San Jacinto Drive, Rancho Mirage. Use the event’s gate instructions as well as navigation to the street address.

Are the concerts free?

Ticketed and complimentary events can have different rules. Open the presenter’s booking page from the schedule above and confirm the total charge, including fees, before checking out.

Where should I park?

Review the arrival instructions for your event, including the entrance gate, valet availability and permitted parking areas. The parking section above explains the current published guidance. Do not assume nearby private lots are available.

Should I bring a chair, food or my dog?

Desert Theatricals provides chairs. Check other events before bringing your own seating. The current presenter notices restrict outside food and beverages and distinguish service animals from pets. Ordinary park rules do not necessarily apply inside a ticketed performance.

How do I request accessible seating or assistance?

Contact the presenter before buying or arriving. Desert Theatricals lists 760-620-5993 for wheelchair and companion seating questions. Explain your parking-to-seat needs, and confirm the gate and arrangements for the exact performance.
