Alpaca

Alpacas are gentle, llama-like camelids from the Andes. They’re smaller than llamas, with slim necks, long legs, and big eyes. Their fleece is soft and warm and comes in over 22 natural colors (Huacaya is fluffy; Suri is silky).

Alpacas thrive in various climates, need open pastures, and have padded feet that protect the land. They hum to communicate, stick together in herds, and may spit if upset.

For centuries, Andean cultures prized them for their fleece, meat, and ceremonies. Today, they’re loved worldwide for their sustainable, hypoallergenic wool and low-impact grazing.
