I'm Mark Miller, a Palm Desert real estate agent with more than a decade of residential real estate experience in the Coachella Valley. I spent about three to four years living in Central and South Palm Desert. That firsthand perspective, combined with my transaction experience, local research, photography and video, shapes how I help people buy and sell here.

What clients say

  • Firsthand perspective from about three to four years living in Central and South Palm Desert.
  • Buyer and seller representation supported by local transaction experience and more than a decade studying the Coachella Valley.
  • Original photography, video, community guides and market research to help you understand the home and its setting.

The perspective you gain by living here

I've studied the Coachella Valley as a real estate agent for more than a decade. Living in a city adds something that research alone cannot fully reproduce. You learn how it feels to pull out of your garage, where you go for a walk, which route you take to dinner and how the location supports an ordinary week.

My years in Central and South Palm Desert gave me a deep appreciation for that everyday experience. El Paseo, mountain trails and a wide choice of restaurants could all be part of the same routine. Palm Desert's central position also made it a practical home base for exploring and working throughout the valley.

South Palm Desert's more sheltered setting was another part of the appeal for me. Wind still varies by day, street and lot; I would never call a home wind-free. But the difference between a foothill setting and a more exposed location deserves attention when outdoor living matters to you.

What I value most about Palm Desert: the combination of everyday convenience and a real connection to the outdoors. A home here is also a starting point for how you want to spend your time.

One city, different ways to live

Knowing Palm Desert means looking beyond a city name on a listing. The age of the home, its street, orientation, association and proximity to the places you use can change the experience considerably.

South Palm Desert

Established neighborhoods, the foothills and access to El Paseo. Look closely at the lot, architecture, outdoor spaces, renovation history and major systems.

Central Palm Desert

A practical base near shops, restaurants, Civic Center Park and services. Compare street character, traffic, privacy and the actual route from each home to your regular stops.

North Palm Desert

Newer neighborhoods and master-planned options, along with established golf communities. Compare freeway access, wind exposure, surrounding development and association responsibilities.

Golf, resort and 55+ choices

Similar asking prices can represent different ownership experiences. We separate the home, HOA coverage, club access and any age qualification before comparing value.

Local market research

Palm Desert home prices & market trends

Start with my Palm Desert housing market report to understand recent sales, pricing and market activity. Then we can narrow the comparison to the homes that actually compete with the property you're buying or selling.

A citywide median cannot account for a particular floor plan, lot, view, condition or HOA. I bring the market evidence back to your decision, rather than treating every Palm Desert home as interchangeable.

Check the dates on the report's datasets. Published market research is a snapshot; contact me for current comparable sales and competition.

Buying with Mark

We begin with the life you want the home to support, your total budget and your timing. My familiarity with Palm Desert's communities helps us build a useful shortlist, then investigate the details of each property.

Make the location work for you

Compare routes to El Paseo, trails, recreation and everyday errands. Consider street noise, privacy, sun exposure, wind and how you will use the patio or pool.

Understand the full cost

Look beyond the mortgage to HOA coverage, club arrangements, insurance, utilities, landscape and pool care, and any special taxes or assessments that apply.

Investigate the property

Review condition, disclosures, permits and improvements. Older homes and newer construction raise different questions; the inspection and document review should reflect the actual property.

Negotiate with context

Use relevant sales and current competition to shape an offer. Then work through contract terms, contingencies, inspections and repair requests with a clear strategy.

Begin with the home buying questionnaire, browse homes on Bloom, or call me to talk through where you are in the process.

Selling your home—and telling its Palm Desert story

A buyer needs to understand both your home and the reasons to choose its location. A South Palm Desert property near El Paseo has a different story from a golf-course condominium or a newer home farther north. I want the presentation to make those distinctions clear.

My Palm Desert transaction experience gives me a practical foundation for pricing and negotiation. My work as a photographer, filmmaker and the creator of Desert Oasis Insider helps me explain the setting with depth. Together, those skills let me connect the property itself to the lifestyle around it.

01 / Position and price

Study the most relevant closed sales, active competition, condition, improvements and lot characteristics. Build a pricing and preparation plan around your home.

02 / Photograph and film

Create a clear visual presentation of the architecture, room connections, outdoor spaces and setting. Use aerial imagery when appropriate and permitted.

03 / Explain the location

Draw on my original Palm Desert photography, videos and community resources to help prospective buyers understand the neighborhood and nearby experiences.

04 / Represent you through closing

Respond to feedback, evaluate offers and navigate contingencies, inspection requests and the decisions that continue after an offer is accepted.

We agree on the specific marketing deliverables and distribution for your property. Desert Oasis Insider, YouTube and Bloom provide additional ways to introduce people to the area and your home. Pricing, condition and buyer response remain central to the strategy.

Explore Palm Desert before your next move

Use these resources to get beyond listing photos. Bring me the questions that come up as you compare the communities, costs and places that interest you.

Community names and mailing addresses do not always establish city jurisdiction. We verify the location and requirements for the specific property.

Get to know the places around the home

Start with El Paseo, Civic Center Park, the McCallum Theatre and Faye Sarkowsky Sculpture Garden. Each gives you a different window into everyday life here.

Let's begin with your plans

For buyers: tell me your timing, price range and the parts of daily life you most want the location to support. We can identify suitable areas and plan a focused tour.

For sellers: tell me about the home, its improvements and your priorities for the sale. I'll help you examine the market, prepare the property and explain what makes it distinctive.

My goal is to make each next decision clearer—with direct communication, thoughtful research and hands-on representation.
