Date Palm Country Club brings manufactured-home living and an executive golf course together in Cathedral City. Fairways and ponds wind between rows of homes, with palms rising above the roofs and desert mountains framing the neighborhood.
This is an age-qualified 55+ residential community. Mark Miller’s six aerial photographs, taken October 20, 2026, show its setting at several scales: the larger course layout, homes beside the fairways, covered patios, water features and the mountain backdrop.
A golf course woven through the neighborhood
The course shapes the spaces between the homes. From above, green fairways open up long views through otherwise closely arranged residential streets. Ponds interrupt that pattern with reflective surfaces, curved edges and fountains.
Several photographs show homes oriented toward these open spaces. Covered patios face the grass or water, while carports and street entrances occupy the other side. The relationship between a home and its surroundings varies by location within the community.
The executive course
Date Palm’s 18-hole executive course was designed by Ted Robinson. The course lists a par of 58 and approximately 3,100 yards from its longest tees. Its shorter overall length distinguishes it from a full-length championship course; water and changes in terrain remain part of the playing experience.
Tee times are available through the golf operation. Residential occupancy and golf play are separate arrangements: current rates, booking conditions and any resident benefits should be confirmed with the pro shop. Golf is not presented here as an included residential benefit.
The homes and outdoor living spaces
The photographs show low homes with broad rooflines, covered parking and a variety of patios and landscaping. Some have screened or enclosed outdoor areas; others open more directly toward a fairway or pond. Mature trees create pockets of shade and frame individual views.
The closer images are useful for understanding this scale of living: the distance from a patio to the golf landscape, the relationship between neighboring homes, and how streets and outdoor spaces fit together. An aerial view cannot establish a home’s interior condition, boundaries or ownership terms.
Life beyond the fairways
The community operator lists organized activities, a clubhouse, fitness facilities, swimming, tennis and spa amenities. These provide a broader recreation setting than the golf course alone. Eligibility, guest use and the current availability of individual amenities are governed by the community’s rules.
For a home purchase, request the current residency requirements, site or space-rental terms, recurring charges and any separate recreation costs from management. A home’s asking price alone does not describe its ongoing cost of occupancy.
Location and access
The community and golf operation use 36200 Date Palm Drive, Cathedral City, CA 92234. The golf pro shop is listed at (760) 328-1315.
Arrange residential visits or showings in advance. Golf visitors should follow the access instructions provided with their booking. The map is a community-area reference rather than a promise of access through a particular gate.
