Desert International Horse Park (DIHP)

Desert International Horse Park is a major equestrian competition venue in Thermal and one of the West Coast’s leading winter destinations for horse sport. The expansive grounds provide nearly 1.6 million square feet of competition and riding space, accommodating large seasonal events in the eastern Coachella Valley.

The facility includes multiple competition and warm-up rings, a Grand Prix stadium, a grass field, extensive stabling, spectator seating, vendors, dining areas, and hospitality spaces. Continued improvements to footing, infrastructure, and horse-care protocols support both high-level competition and equine welfare.

Its seasonal calendar features hunter, jumper, equitation, dressage, and international FEI competition. Events range from regional classes to CSI-level Grand Prix competition and World Cup qualifying events, attracting accomplished riders and horses from across the United States and abroad.
