Eisenhower Medical Center is the Rancho Mirage hospital campus at the heart of Eisenhower Health. Located on Bob Hope Drive, it brings hospital care, medical offices and outpatient facilities together in one of the Coachella Valley’s most recognizable healthcare settings.

Mark Miller’s aerial photographs document the campus on October 13, 2026: its large pavilions, palm-lined grounds, water features, parking areas and buildings undergoing construction. The views reveal the scale of a place that is often experienced one entrance or appointment at a time.

Visiting Eisenhower Medical Center: Campus, Buildings & Parking

A visit starts with the exact destination: the building, office or department named in your appointment instructions. Eisenhower’s Rancho Mirage campus contains several connected hospital buildings and separate medical offices. An Eisenhower appointment may also be at another location in the valley.

Find your building before you leave

  1. Read the full appointment location. Save the street address, building name, floor, suite and office telephone number. If the instructions only say “Eisenhower,” call the office for the complete location.
  2. Match the name to the official map. Use the campus map for the building and roads, then the clinic directory for the office. A building number on the map is different from a suite number inside the building.
  3. Ask about the arrival entrance. Confirm the recommended parking area, check-in desk and any drop-off instructions. If a long walk is difficult, ask which entrance and assistance arrangements fit the visit.
  4. Navigate to the confirmed destination. A general hospital pin gets you to the campus; it may not get you to the correct office entrance. Allow additional time for parking, walking and check-in.

Two Annenberg names, two different buildings

The Walter and Leonore Annenberg Pavilion is building 3, a hospital wing. Eisenhower’s campus map directs access through the hospital’s main lobby. The Annenberg Health Sciences Building is building 11, the round building used for education, lectures and events. Confirm the complete name rather than using “Annenberg” alone.

Building names to match with the map

These are selected destinations from Eisenhower’s July 2026 campus map. Use the current official directory to confirm the office inside each building.

Map no. Building Arrival note
3 Walter and Leonore Annenberg Pavilion Hospital wing; the campus map directs access through the main hospital lobby.
5 Dennis and Phyllis Washington Building Main hospital entrance. Confirm this is the entrance requested for your visit.
8 Tennity Emergency Department A separate emergency destination; use the hospital’s arrival directions.
11 Annenberg Health Sciences Building The round education and events building. Separate from the Annenberg Pavilion.
12 Dolores Hope Building Confirm the department, floor and suite in your appointment instructions.
14 Kiewit Building Check the exact office and suite; the building name is only the first step.
16 Lucy Curci Cancer Center Confirm the department and arrival instructions for your appointment.
17 Joel M. Hirschberg, MD Building The name is readable in the parking-area photograph below. Confirm your suite.

Other names you may see include Davis Building (10), Probst Building (13), Shansby Building (15) and Hal B. Wallis Building (26). The map lists the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Family Center (19) as under construction; it is separate from the Washington Building at the main hospital entrance (5).

Parking, drop-off and the walk to check-in

Choose parking around your confirmed building and entrance. The campus map marks valet locations with red asterisks, but it does not establish current operating hours or fees. Ask the destination office about the appropriate patient or visitor parking, valet availability and any temporary access changes. Follow posted restrictions and accessible-parking requirements.

If someone is driving you, give them the building and entrance name as well as the street address. Confirm the drop-off point and where to meet afterward. A covered parking space may still involve a walk across the campus.

For a Family Birth Center visit, consult the official Birthing Center Parking Map and the unit’s arrival instructions. That map is specific to that destination.

Visiting a patient: check the current unit rules

Eisenhower’s Visiting Hours and Policies page explains visitor passes and care-area restrictions. Hospital visitors must wear a visible visitor pass. Rules can differ for critical care, the Family Birth Center and recovery areas, so confirm the patient’s unit before arriving. Family Birth Center visitors check in at the main lobby’s Welcome/Information Desk and are escorted to the unit.

For general campus assistance, call 760-340-3911. For the details of an appointment, contact the office shown in your confirmation.

A hospital rooted in the valley’s history

The hospital opened in 1971, following years of fundraising and community support. Bob and Dolores Hope played central roles in its beginnings, including the donation of land for the project. The hospital was named for President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who had made the Coachella Valley a home after his presidency.

That history connects the medical center with a broader Rancho Mirage story: residents and philanthropists helped build institutions alongside the area’s residential communities and country clubs. The campus has continued to grow beyond the original hospital.

The Annenberg Pavilion and the broader campus

The Walter and Leonore Annenberg Pavilion is the focal point of several photographs in this gallery. Its name is visible across the facade above a landscaped terrace and reflecting water feature. The pavilion opened for patient care in November 2010.

Wider views show how this building fits among other hospital structures, medical offices, roads and parking areas. Eisenhower’s main-campus directory also includes the Tennity Emergency Department, Family Birth Center, Renker Pavilion and other facilities. Individual services occupy different buildings, so a campus address alone does not identify the correct arrival point for every visit.

Eisenhower Health also operates locations elsewhere in the Coachella Valley. An appointment with an Eisenhower provider may therefore be at an off-campus office rather than at the Rancho Mirage hospital.

What the aerial photographs show

The featured photograph presents the Annenberg Pavilion with the surrounding desert mountains beyond. Other images move closer to the building lettering and terrace, then widen to show the campus layout, mature palms, landscaped ponds and covered parking.

Two photographs document a building surrounded by scaffolding and construction equipment. They record the work visible on October 13, 2026; they do not establish a completion date or indicate that a new facility is open. Together, the ten images provide both architectural detail and a dated record of the campus.
