The Arnold Palmer community—commonly known as PGA WEST Palmer Private—is one of the most established and residentially diverse enclaves within PGA WEST. Built around the members-only Arnold Palmer Private Course in south La Quinta, the neighborhood includes attached condominiums, patio-style residences, and larger detached homes positioned along fairways, lakes, and mature landscaped streets.
The 18-hole course was designed by Arnold Palmer, with its final five holes sculpted along the Santa Rosa Mountains. Its professional golf history includes David Duval’s final-round 59 during the 1999 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, one of the defining rounds of his career.
Palmer Private offers a more accessible entry into the PGA WEST lifestyle than the community’s largest custom-home enclaves, while still providing golf-course settings, mountain views, gated surroundings, and access to the broader La Quinta lifestyle. Homeownership does not automatically include golf or club privileges; access to the private courses, clubhouses, dining, fitness, tennis, and pickleball depends on a separate Club at PGA WEST membership.
